Get a Company Email Address or Look Like Your From the 90’s.

What do you think when you say a nicely wrapped van, modern van, only to see that the company is still using [email protected] or any variation of?

It looks unprofessional doesn’t it?

I get that there is a learning curve with anything digital, particularly if your profession is totally unrelated. Nobody expects a plumber to be a dab hand with web programming.

But, setting up a company email address is incredibly simple… and cheap.

Just head over too Google and follow the instructions.

It costs about £4 a month plus the cost of a domain name which Google can sort you out with. Probably a maximum outlay of £12 in the first month.

It’s worth it.

You might be thinking that there’s no point doing this because all your marketing materials (and your van) have your existing email address printed on them.

But don’t rip up all the leaflets, scrape off your old email address from your van just yet. Particularly, if your budget won’t allow you to renew.

For now you can simply forward all the emails to your new company email address.

Not sure how to do that?

This link will show you how to do it with Gmail.

If you are using another service. Just google how to forward emails to a new account.

Hope that helps you out in some way. If you still need a hand, send an email through to [email protected] and I’ll be more than happy to help.

Bonus Points

Why not go the whole hog and get yourself a Website and a Facebook Page to communicate with your customers better?

I don’t know about you but the first place I look for tradesmen is Google.

Second place I look is Facebook to look at their recent work and their reviews.

Not got either of those? Then your missing out on more business you can shake a stick at.

Need a hand setting up your Facebook page: I’ll do it for your for free.

Need a website? Send me an email to [email protected] and I’ll sort you out with an offer you can’t refuse.
